Xiaomi has unveiled the much-anticipated CIVI 3 smartphone teaser, showcasing its stunning design, impressive cameras, captivating display, and a range of appealing color options. This device, potentially positioned as the Xiaomi 14 Lite in the future, brings forth notable upgrades compared to its predecessor, the CIVI 2.
Building anticipation on Weibo, Xiaomi initially confirmed that the CIVI 3 would be powered by the advanced Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset, boasting CPU clock speeds equivalent to the regular Dimensity 8200. In a recent teaser video, the company provided a glimpse of the device, specifically highlighting its display.
Continuing the design language of its predecessor, the CIVI 3 features curved edges and a centered pill-shaped punch-hole housing the front-facing cameras. Notably, Xiaomi has revamped the rear design, liberating the circular camera module from its previous rectangular enclosure.
Photography enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the CIVI 3 retains the impressive triple rear camera setup, with the primary camera delivering a remarkable 50 MP resolution—maintaining the high standards set by its predecessor.
This suggests that the CIVI 3 is poised to offer a noteworthy refresh, much like the previous CIVI 1S model. Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of the CIVI 3 in China on May 25 at 14:00 CST. As for the color options, users can look forward to the alluring choices of Adventure Gold, Coconut Grey, Mint Green, and Rose Purple.
As per some sources, there is no official confirmation about its global release, the rebranding of the CIVI 2 as the Xiaomi 13 Lite hints at the possibility of the CIVI 3 being introduced as the Xiaomi 14 Lite in international markets in due course.
