Samsung has announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event. The event is set to take place in late July in Seoul for the first time. As with recent Unpacked events, the focus of the 2023 iteration will likely be on foldable devices.
According to TM Roh, Samsung’s president and head of its mobile experience business, the foldable category represents the company’s commitment to delivering innovative products that redefine the future of mobile experiences.
He emphasized the significance of hosting Unpacked in Seoul, which has emerged as a center of innovation and culture, aligning with the theme of foldable devices.
A previous rumor suggested that this year’s Unpacked event could take place on July 26th. Going forward, Samsung plans to hold Unpacked shows in different cities that closely align with the specific theme of each event, further enhancing the overall experience.
The timing of this year’s event is slightly earlier than usual, as it typically occurred in August last year. At the previous event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4. We can expect that updates to these smartphones will be announced this year.
Rumors suggest that the Z Flip 5 will have a larger outer display, while the Z Fold 5 will be considerably thinner when folded. Exciting times lie ahead in the world of foldable devices this summer!
